Volume II contains the 5th through 8th sonatas. They are of increasing difficulty. The first movement of the 5th sonata contains Cervetto's own suggestions of added notes to create a variation; the second movement of the 6th has an extended passage of arpeggiation written as whole-measure chords which are played according to a model measure that precedes them. The first movement of Sonata 7 exhibits an imitative texture in which two voices often appear as double-stops in the solo part. The first movement of Sonata 8 has a cadenza written by Cervetto.
